$$$PROJECT TUTORIALS$$$

AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF STREET LIGHT INTENSITY
Everywhere throughout the world at present humans are deeply poised by the comforts provided due to the advancement of technology in each and every aspect, in the development of the virtual mechanisms embedded systems are playing an vital role in controlling and coordinating various systems by the help of micro controllers and micro processors, these embedded systems are the micro controller based real time control system operated using specified software.
Coming to description of our project the proposed system consists of an AT89S52 Microcontroller, white light emitting LED’s, light dependent resistors (LDR), Rectifier, Filter, with an primary step down Transformer (230 – 12 V AC), and a Voltage Regulator (LM 7805), initially the 230v ac from the supply mains is to be stepped down to 12 v and this 12v output from the transformer to be rectified in 5v dc using an bridge rectifier, in order to achieve regulation an voltage regulator is provided, the total assembly and operation is clearly explained in coming sections.
Our project is experimentally verified and the results revealed that this system is applicable in real time controlling, with less complexity, low power consumption maximum reliability, applicable in traffic control systems.

Block Diagram of Automatic Street Lights Intensity Control

Automatic Street Lights Intensity Control block diagram
In the current system, maximum lightning over the freeways is completed through HID (High Intensity Discharge lamps), the energy utilization of HID lamps/lanterns are high. The intensity of HID lamps cannot be controlled, in harmony to the necessity, therefore there is a requirement to swap to a substitute way of illumination system i.e., by making use of LEDs. This lighting system is constructed to conquer the disadvantages of High Intensity Discharge lamps.
This lightning system exhibits the utilization of the Light emitting diodes or LED’s as the source of light and its intensity control is variable which can be altered as per the requirement. LED’s use a lesser amount of power and its life span is good, in comparison to the old HID lanterns/lamps. The more vital and motivating characteristic is that the intensity of LED’s can be controlled as per the requirement throughout non-peak hours which is not possible with HID lanterns/lamps.
A bunch of LEDs are brought into play to structure a street light. The micro-controller includes planned instructions which are used for controlling the intensity of lanterns based on Pulse width modulation (PWM) produced indicators. The lights intensity are kept soaring all through the peak hours, because the street traffic have a propensity to reduce slowly during late night hours, the intensity of the traffic also declines gradually till sunrise. Finally it’s totally shuts down at dawn, and it’s all over again restarts at 6pm during the dusk. The course of action is repeated

The main objective of this project is to implement energy savings in street lighting.  The main function of automatic street light control system is to detect the sunlight intensity levels and to switch on the White Light Emitting Diode (LED) based lamps at relevant conditions.
Using this project we can control the waste of power due to irregular functionalities of the present day street light management systems, the proposed system had two modes of operations one is general mode intended only for vehicles and dim mode which for both vehicles and the pedestrians.

TUTORIALS ON PHOTOSHOP

TRACE A POINT & CREATE A LOGO USING PHOTOSHOP:-

Step 1

First let’s open photoshop & create a new file & set width 800 px and height to 600 px.

Step 2
First let’s start by opening the file “background”. You see, it’s always better to have something on top of which you can start creating stuff than a blank white canvas. This can be a texture, a drawing or even a photo at a lower opacity – everything that can help you in the artistic process.

Step 3

Select the Type Tool (T) and a sans-serif font (Century Gothic is my choice) of your liking (sans serif fonts are best for modern, techy logos while serif fonts are best suited for more conservative designs) and type PHOTOSHOP. The type tool will automatically create a new type layer for us.

Step 4

Now with the Type Tool still selected click somewhere below the text PHOTOSHOP and write STAR. Make sure you don’t type near the PHOTOSHOP text or the STAR text will be appended to it and we don’t want that. We want star on its own layer.

Step 5

Select the STAR layer in the layer palette and press Ctrl + T to Free Transform the text. Hold the Shift key and drag by the corners to resize the STAR text to a respectable size.

Step 6

Before we go any further there is an important aspect to logo creation (and vector drawing). You need to have things aligned precisely otherwise things will look out of place. Imagine that you have your logo on a huge billboard somewhere and your various elements are misaligned. While you may not notice that on a small computer screen you will see the flaws and misalignments of your design very clearly on a 10×10 ft poster. That’s why we need guides. Guides are 1px blue lines that don’t show up in your final image (when you save it) but they can help you tremendously when you create your design.
First let’s show the rulers on the screen by pressing Ctrl + R.

Now left-click on the rulers area (left or up), hold the mouse button and drag somewhere on your image and release. You should see a horizontal blue line if you dragged from the upper ruler or a vertical one if you dragged from the left ruler. To remove a specific ruler hold Ctrl and mouse over the guide until you see the mouse cursor transforming into an icon representing 2 vertical lines. Then you can safely click and drag the guide back into the ruler area (or outside the image area).

Now put some rulers around the text and make sure that your elements are aligned to them (you will see how my elements are aligned and you can follow through). I won’t tell you in future steps to add more rulers but if you see them in the images accompanying steps then add them in your document.

Step 7

Add a layer mask to the STAR text layer (Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal All). Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool (M) and in the layer mask draw a rectangular selection that covers the A letter. Fill the selection with black by pressing D and Alt + Backspace

Step 8

A shape is a path that is automatically filled with 2 colors. First color is the outline color (stroke) and second color is the color inside the path (fill). Note that we can have one of the 2 colors (either fill or stroke), both (fill and stroke) or none (no fill and no stroke). The stroke can also have a width (how thick it will be) option.
Step 9
A shape can be formed using different geometrical sets-like rectangle,triangles-and using pen tool you should change the blending mode to "multiply" and reduce the opacity.
Step 10
Repeating the above steps and again the geometric tools for specific application you can now have your logo & you should now add a brand name of your choice.

AN OVERVIEW OF ANDROID PROGRAMMING

                                      EDITORIAL STEPS FOR ANDROID APPS:-

Android is an open source and Linux-based operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. Android was developed by the Open Handset Alliance, led by Google, and other companies.
This tutorial will teach you basic Android programming and will also take you through some advance concepts related to Android application development.
This tutorial has been prepared for the beginners to help them understand basic Android programming. After completing this tutorial you will find yourself at a moderate level of expertise in Android programming from where you can take yourself to next levels.
Android programming is based on Java programming language so if you have basic understanding on Java programming then it will be a fun to learn Android application development.
STEPS:-

01. If You Want to Make iPhone Apps With Less Programming Experience:- Focus is to explain things in simple, plain English and get people started making their own apps. Rather than trying to teach everything I learned about Computer Science in University or every last aspect of Objective-C, I’ll distill it into what you need. My approach will be to slowly introduce concepts as you need them, rather than trying to equip you with everything up front only to overwhelm you!

It’s really not that far fetched as long as you have the desire to learn and the persistence to keep at it and get better!
Programming can be self-taught and yes, you can start your own career in software development even if you don’t have a formal background. It’s probably the single greatest thing I love about my field; that merit is based on your achievements and hard work rather than seniority or experience.

02.Design and code an iPhone app website in HTML5:-HTML5 is definitely the taste of the month, with everyone in the design community getting excited about its release. In this tutorial we’ll get a taste of what’s to come by building a cool iPhone app website using a HTML5 structure, and visual styling with some CSS3 effects.
HTML5 isn’t here just yet, but the Working Draft is complete enough for us to play around and get to grips with the exciting new elements we can use in our code. To learn how a few of these elements can be used, let’s put together a simple website for say, a fictional iPhone app. How about we use the recent tutorial I wrote over at Tutorial9 as a base for our app website? This tutorial covered the process of building an interface just like the awesome apps from Tapbots, so head over and check it out, then we’ll be ready to build an accompanying website for PKE Meter application.

A COMMON STORY WITH LOVE BY DEFAULT-MAGNUM OPUS(AVIK)

                               MECHANICAL PROJECT IDEAS-WIND ENERGY
VEHICLE

Abstract
This project is developed for the users to use a vehicle using wind energy. A wind mill generates electric power from wind energy. The electric power is stored in a battery. The car gets energy from the battery.
PARTS DESCRIPTION
•  Wind mill
•  Battery
•  Robotic car
•  Rotating blades
•  Gear and wheel setup
•  Coil and permanent magnet
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The vanes in the turbine are rotated with constant speed. The gear setup can be adjusted to control the rotation speed. A magnet is connected with the gear. The magnet will be rotated along with the vanes.
The coil is fixed around the magnet. According to Faraday's law, "As long as there is a change in magnetic flux linked with the coil, an emf is induced." So, In each and every rotation, electricity is generated.
The energy from the windmill is stored in a battery. The car gets energy from the battery.
ADVANTAGES
•  This project is cost effective and portable.
•  Since this uses no fuel, it is very economic.
